Back from the Dead
Hm.. just in time for halloween and all saints and souls days. :)
It's been ages since I've last wrote here, and I don't particularly feel like going into detail of the last month. Suffice it to say, I worked my butt off for 33 days STRAIGHT (yes I worked on Sundays) for a project that should've been finished last OCtober 15. Oh well. I don't plan on doing that anymore. It's very.. tiring.
Anyway, today most of the project team went to Boracay. Well, all the older Smart people went and one of the SAP people (my mentor-type person). So it's just us newbies left (mostly). How fun. We sort of celebrated today. Long lunch at Krocodile (Thank you to Ms. Den for the subsidy of lunch!) and then dinner (just 3 of us) at Spaghetti factory (not all that nice) then DMX and starbucks after. (Only I played.. haha). Funny experience while (well before and after) playing DMX. A girl on the side looked oddly familiar (in the end I don't think I knew her anyway.. hehe but she did look like someone I knew). She was in line to play, so I motioned for her to go, but apprarently, her boyfriend had her card, so she motioned for me to go first, and so I did. I played a game and was about to leave for starbucks with my friends (well, office/project-mates turned friends.. haha) when she talked to me. Galing ko raw (lumaki ata ulo ko.. haha JOKE :P but that's not the point basta yun :P) paano ako natuto, stuff like that. We went on like that for a couple of minutes, but then we left na for starbucks. I think she started playing after a bit. I thought that was the end of it, and we were saying that she looked so familiar, even to Charm (one of those with me). After starbucks, while the girls were in the CR, I went over to the DMX machine again and watched. I noticed the girl was still there (probably had played already, but wanted to play again). When she saw me, she got her card from her boyfriend (who was racing I think) and came closer saying "paturo naman!" sorta like that. I was quite surprised actually. I wouldn't have let her treat me to a game, even if it was played with her, but I was leaving in a bit, so that's what I said. We talked a bit before the girls came back. I learned where she studied (HS and college) that she had a brother (ahia) studying in Uno, that she was working (although I don't know where) and the name of her boyfriend (Andrew). And then I told her where my friends and I studied (HS lang.. hehe). The funny thing is... we never exchanged names. How weird. My friends and I left laughing at that fact. How very very weird! haha :D Now Charm is asking me to teach her how to DMX, so that she can attract boys.. haha :D
Also weird: while I was waiting to be fetched, I saw a guy and 2 girls (not bad looking.. but younger-much I think- than me). They were going to their cars. Guess what the girls said? "Bye, Enzo" Another surprise.. hahah :P Did I mention that the "us 3" meant me and 2 girls? (Well, that could've been inferred from what I said.. hehe) A parallelism.. haha
Anyway, I just felt like writing since.. I dunno, I feel much better. (Nai: I didn't write sad this time! :) )
I do hope we finish our project soon. It's getting... stagnant.
