A great day

Warning: Long post all about ME

Yesterday was a great. Well, it actually started the other day.

I came to FC Choir practice a little late, and very tired, since I came from a badminton tournament. I fixed the stuff asked people to cut stuff and started with learning the song Kapuri-puri Ka. I noticed that Jeanne wasn't there, it seemed weird, but not really out of the ordinary. So I practiced the song a bit, and then after a while, they suddenly started singing something else.. Happy birthday.. haha I looked up to see Jeanne holding a cake (chocolate mousse! YUUUMMMMMMYYYYYY!!! :D) with many candles (I wasn't able to count.. haha). The funny thing was, the candles were mostly melted, and the wax was already on the cake, flowing across the top! Hahaha how that happened, I really have no idea (and that was another reason why I couldn't count... and the fact that the electric fan was "helping me" blow the candles out haha ;P we didn't eat the cake after that because, well, it's chocolate! And I couldn't have the choir eating chocolate right before singing (me especially! role-model kuno.. haha). After the mass they also surprised me with a magazine with messages from FCCYers and friends. Thanks to all of you for writing!

Then that night TimGo had a grad party since he was graduating from UP IE (My opportunity cost haha - we would've been classmates!). It was such a blast from the past. Ange, ChaCoy, Cherie, Eric, Carl and Dave were there. It really wasn't the grat dinner, but the part after. We went to Gerry's Grill in Promenade for a few drinks. I ordered a stupid stupid stupid drink: Tropicalada. Yeesh. I came for alcohol, not a shake :P hahaha Anyway... It was really fun talking and catching up with my old friends. I've known them since High School for goodness sakes! We never really talked a lot during college though.. But it was great to see that we could still have fun together. It wasn't the most complete of our reunions, but it was great. And we just realized that we've all known each other for 10 years! (minus Dave I think) We were all FCCYers there, and that's where we (as a group) grew close. At midnight, I was surprised by a bunch of waiters behind me sing happy birthday. I never saw it coming. Ange said she told the waiters when whe was out "buying yosi". Ugh, I'm so slow in these things. Ah well.. It was really a great way to start my birthday. Damn I missed them. Haha :D To top it off, Kat came by after to greet and give me her gift.

I went home and slept for a few hours, then woke up to the sound of brother, telling me that we were almost leaving for badminton (fun fun). Although I was still tired from the previous day's tournament, I still had fun (Well, I always have fun playing badminton.. haha)

**Sidenote about the tourney.. nilalampaso kami! wala lang.. it didn't help na may tennis (or badminton) elbow yung partner ko.. hehehe ah well.. next time.. more practice is needed! I got to talk with Irene Chiu, from Ateneo. I never knew she was Philippine Team for badminton until that day.. haha funny :D and I won in the raffle.. a small bag.. which I don't know what is used for... haha I hope to find out soon enough.. ANYWAY, back to the more important day.. wahahaha

All the while, starting 12 midnight when I was in Gerry's, people already started texting their birthday greetings. I was surprised that Floey texted.. until I found out she used Chikka.. :D Funny, Christa was trying to greet me first, because I was the first to greet on her birthday. hahaha Malas na lang nya na may mga kasama ko nung time na yun.. besides, may ibang nagtext din before her.. haha. And Pia was funny too. I texted her right at the end of her birthday. My reason: "Save the best for last" haha :D She tried the same, but ended up texting late because of PBB.. hahaha That's ok Pia, thankyouthankyou pa rin! During badminton, I would take long breaks to reply to people. Gosh, I think I used up half my text allocation replying to everyone! Ah well, it only comes once a year :D But it was great that so many people remembered.. getting hundreds of texts in a day is... well... not normal, at least not for me. Maybe for actors/actresses.. (It's sad that there were some people who forgot, or weren't able to text.. but that's okay.. it's only normal.. :D ). One of my friends, Marie (how do I differentiate the Marie's I know? hmm.. oh well.. this is the one studying in DLSU.. haha) was asking before what my wish was, well I never really knew until I got it. All the messages/remembering really made my day. (Thanks to the culprits: Kat, Jeanne and Shanty.. I wonder who else? hmm.. :D ) Around late morning, before going to mass, I found out that my "party" wasn't as small as I thought it would be. Meaning, I'd have cousins over. Anyway, I also found out that a number of my cousins wouldn't be able to go. So I decided to ask a few friends to come over for dinner. The number was 5, so I didn't invite a lot. Jim, Lippy, Mic and Jacky to be exact. It wasn't 5, but I didn't want to invite a lot, just those who lived nearby. It turns out that more of my cousins wouldn't be able to come. Oh well, I should've invited more. But, it was fun all the same. I spent the night with Kat and my friends and Ching, jamming (K-hon, Trisha and Bass Guitar w/ Amp) after eating. It was just.. great. A great way to end a great day. I feel so lucky :D

PS To those who forgot.... :P hahahaha

Who's Your Movie Star Double?

Take this test at Tickle

Your movie star double is Ethan Hawke

An intellectual like you needs to be played by someone who understands how to be deep without being boring, someone who can grasp complicated subjects and make them seem clear cut, someone like Ethan Hawke. Whether bringing Hamlet to life or getting published himself, Ethan has shown the world that being smart can be sexy.

Were you sometimes the kid in class who realized when the teacher made a mistake — even if you didn't always point it out? Now that you're grown up, it wouldn't surprise us if you still liked the challenge of banter or enjoyed staying up late talking about the latest in political, social, or celebrity circles. Your glamour comes from your head first and radiates out through your looks. So keep that confidence up. Ethan's a natural to star as you because he, like you, has a good head on his shoulders. And isn't afraid to use it.
